What the converter does with your file
Nothing leaves your browser. The converter is JavaScript that runs on your own device. The file you choose is read from disk into memory on your machine, converted there, and written back out as a download.
It is never uploaded to this site, never sent to any third party, and never stored anywhere by us. We do not see it and we do not receive it. Closing or reloading the page discards it. There is no account, no signup and no usage record.
Cookies, storage and tracking
This site sets no cookies of its own, writes nothing to local or session storage, and runs no analytics, tracking or profiling of any kind. Because nothing that is not strictly necessary is placed on your device, no cookie consent banner is required.
The typeface used here is hosted on our own servers. It is not loaded from Google Fonts or any other external source. The site embeds no advertising pixels, no social plugins, no maps and no video embeds.
Server logs
Our hosting provider automatically records technical data each time a page is requested. This is standard for any web server and is necessary to deliver the site:
- IP address of the requesting device
- Date and time of the request
- The page or file requested, and the HTTP status returned
- Browser type and version, and operating system
- Referring URL, where your browser sends one
Purpose: delivering the site reliably, maintaining security, and defending against attacks and abuse.
Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is operating a secure and functioning website. We do not use this data to identify individual visitors or to build profiles. These log entries record the page request only. They tell us nothing about the contents of any file you convert.
Processor: the site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, provided by Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA), which also acts as a content delivery network and may set a strictly necessary security cookie (__cf_bm) to distinguish automated traffic from human visitors. Cloudflare is engaged as a processor under Article 28 GDPR. Because Cloudflare is established in the United States, data may be processed outside the European Economic Area, on the basis of appropriate safeguards under Chapter V GDPR.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). To exercise any of these, write to [email protected]. We respond within one month, as required by Article 12(3) GDPR.
You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Our lead authority is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD), C/ Jorge Juan 6, 28001 Madrid, Spain, www.aepd.es.
